I have been learning a bit about myself as well as about others lately. First, I know for sure that you are NEVER to old to learn new things and age doesn’t necessarily mean smarter or more experienced. Each of us have to be open to what is coming at us from all directions, dressed in many different forms.
I also know that letting things take their course is difficult but most times very necessary. Higher powers have plans and designs for us that we cannot even begin to imagine. Now, I am not saying you should sit back and let things be at all times. If you want something, make every effort to get it. Just be aware enough to know when you might be pushing too hard instead of letting it come to you. It takes some of the stress out of it!
Another thing that has been more reinforced rather than learned is that if someone has “it” you will know it in the first few dealings with them. By “it” I mean talent, good heart, or potential as someone you should allow into your life. Sometimes its all three and then some
. We each have intuition when it comes to our dealings with others but at times we hush that little voice because we really want to be part of the in crowd or we really just need to be accepted. You can hush that little voice all you want but it will always be there.
An unfortunate realization has been that light always attracts some darkness. This one is a bit disturbing to me because I have found that not only is the darkness attracted to your light, it isn’t happy just being around you nor does it strive to be like you. For some reason, it tries to destroy the light or hold you back in some way. That saddens me because it would be so much more constructive to emulate the light you see in
others. So much positive results can be achieved that way.
Every day we create karma for ourselves by the way we act toward and react to others. Be supportive and you will receive support, be nurturing and you will be nurtured, be respectful and you will be respected. Share your knowledge so that knowledge will come back to you.
Lastly, for now, is something very powerful. No amount of distance or differences will prevent you from connecting with someone or something if it was truly meant to be. Just don’t stand in your own way.
On the subject of good karma, I would like to thank my good friend, Chad Douglas for reminding me that its not always about sticking to the “formula”. Sometimes, its just about putting out some good into the world.
